The surrounding area is one of splendid views and sandy beaches in one of Britain's last unspoilt rural bastions. It attracts those wishing to escape the "hustle and bustle" of everyday life.

The region can be reached easily by train, ferry, plane or car. There are great links for each choice of transport.
